Little by little we are getting back to normal. Last year we had the possibility for the congress to take place in person and this year we are going to celebrate the next XLVIII National Congress of the Spanish Society of Rheumatology in Granada, also returning to the traditional month for its celebration, in May.Although we have had less time to organize this congress, we will have an attractive program that we hope will be to your liking and as profitable as possible, as you deserve, since Rheumatology continues to generate many novelties with a high scientific content. 15 years have passed since the XXXIII National Congress of the SER was held in Granada. Since then there have been structural changes in the city of Granada, such as the completion of the highways of the main road networks that communicate with the capital and province, as well as the arrival of the high-speed train, the expansion of the airport and the construction and remodeling of hotels, all together with the location of the Palacio de Congresos in the center of the city, which will undoubtedly offer easy access and a comfortable stay.It is our wish that you enjoy the city of Granada, with its history, its cobbled streets, its gastronomy and its people, a compelling reason for Granada, May 10-13, 2022 / get to know it. The traces of Arab culture are unmistakable in monuments such as the Alhambra, or neighborhoods such as the Albaicín or Sacromonte, as well as the reflection of other cultures in emblems such as the Palace of Carlos V or the Cathedral. And always with the impressive white background of the Sierra Nevada mountains, a spectacle of light and color. The visit to these places not only causes a great visual impact, but also an indelible memory that will always ask you to repeat it. You can walk and, in a short distance, enjoy views of the Alhambra from the Paseo de los Tristes or from other viewpoints that dot the city. Also, at the same time, you can enjoy our gastronomy and our well-known tapas in emblematic places in Granada. The members of this Local Organizing Committee are waiting for you. Granada will welcome you with open arms.Rafael Cáliz Cáliz, President of the Local Organizing Committee
